Community Our recent visit to the Operation Mobilisation ship was informative and thought-provoking.

We joined friends from Wicken and Soham Methodist Church for a visit to the newest OM ship, Logos Hope.

The journey to Canary Wharf was quick and trouble-free thanks to the SatNav and Maureen's direction.

The ship was certainly awe-inspiring, creating a contrast with the buildings that surrounded it.

Our timing was perfect, there were no queues for the guided tour. We were shown around in small groups where the history of OM was explained and we had the opportunity to see many of the facilities the ship has to offer. We were even allowed on to the bridge.

There was then time for lunch and a browse in the on-board book shop.

To finish our time we were privileged to spend time talking to Gary Sloan, the UK director of OM. He spoke of the wider work of OM, particularly with the Dalits in India.

Many thanks to Maureen for organising the trip and to Peter for providing transport.
